Where you will work: This position offers a hybrid work option up to 50% and is based out of the Bloomington, IL office location. The contributions you will make: This position prepares and provides transaction documents for loans, leases, servicing actions, third party lending partners and for another Farm Credit Association. Routinely handles complex and specialized transactions, acting as a subject matter expert and providing guidance and training to less tenured members of the team. Creates closing instructions for the offices to use as a guide to ensure a complete and compliant closing occurs. Works closely with internal teams to respond to document requirements and questions based on approvals and Compeer's risk tolerance. Certifies a 1st lien on all of said vendors Federal Land Credit Association (FLCA) loans. A typical day: Document Preparation and Service
- Produces high quality documents for the most complex and specialized transactions, ensuring accuracy of data. Proofs/edits loan and lease packages, consistently adhering to tight deadlines. Sets up temporary electronic folders to house applicable loan related documentation.
- Provides exceptional and consistent client service experience that aligns with the mission and vision of Compeer. Supports internal clients with problem solving, resolving questions and issues, at times under stress, to ensure effective working relationships with other team members.
- Maintains technical competency and strong knowledge of procedures and regulations in order to provide expertise on complex loan and lease packages.
- Ensures that all of the required legal entity documentation is provided from a client who is a borrower or owner of collateral and that a full analysis is completed to validate authorized signers and the entity's ability to borrow money and pledge its collateral.
- Reviews title insurance commitments, deeds, appraisals and other related documents to confirm the organization's collateral lien position. Confirms legal documents required to close a transaction and parties required to sign each legal document per third party vendor contract.
- Analyzes requests to ensure loan and lease documents reflect the approved and intended closing package.
Compliance and Training
- Certifies a valid 1st lien requirement for all FLCA long-term, real estate (RE) loans.
- Attends monthly training sessions to stay current on organizations operational procedures.
The skills and experience we prefer you have:
- Associate's degree in business administration, finance, economics, agribusiness or related field, or an equivalent experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Advanced level of document preparation or legal related work experience.
- Knowledge of document preparation, federal and state (Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin) laws, regulations and compliance requirements specific to the financial industry.
- Effectively prioritizes responsibilities to meet and exceed established deadlines.
- Strong problem solving, decision making and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other teams to achieve goals and represent the business.

The actual title and base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for variable compensation and other benefits.
Base Pay $50,900 - $72,100 USD
