POSITION SUMMARY: The Warehouse Lead supports the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and serves as the primary point of contact for workflow coordination, inventory movement, and process compliance during the shift. This role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and safety while helping oversee shipping, receiving, and general warehouse functions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist Managers/Supervisors in daily coordination of warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.
- Monitor productivity and ensure team members follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
- Serve as a point of contact for warehouse staff regarding task assignments, work prioritization, and issue resolution.
- Train new or temporary warehouse associates in operational procedures and safety requirements.
- Review work orders and shipment schedules to allocate resources appropriately.
- Support inventory accuracy through routine cycle counts and audits.
- Ensure proper documentation of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with other departments such as Logistics, Customer Service, and Quality.
- Escalate complex issues to Warehouse Supervisor or Manager as necessary.
- Perform warehouse tasks alongside the team, including lifting, loading/unloading, and staging materials.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience.
- Prior experience in leadership or lead capacity preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead by example and guide team members in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in basic math, inventory systems, and Microsoft Office or warehouse management software.
- Certified forklift operator (or ability to become certified).
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Pay: $22.00 Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and, in some instances, may include education, skills, work experience and certifications.
