Summary of Primary Functions: The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for supporting management and employees at the professional level by overseeing administration of employee relations, hiring, retention, termination, personnel records, training and development, legal compliance, affirmative action, compensation benefits, and long-term staffing strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products.

  • Directly responsible for assuming legal compliance for designated division by enforcing company policies and state/federal laws and keeping VP of HR and VP/GM advised of violations of policies and/or state/federal laws.

  • Coordinates hiring process by recruiting, interviewing, and testing applicants and counsels the management staff on hiring decisions to fill vacant positions.

  • Coordinates recruiting efforts, such as writing and listing job ads on Tindall website, businesses, schools, and non-profit organizations, etc.

  • Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.

  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentations, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.

  • Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.

  • Keeps records of benefits plans participation, such as insurance and pension plans, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations and employees' statistics for government reporting.

  • Acts as back up for HR specialist for payroll processes.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by manager.

  • Responds to inquiries regarding organizational policies, procedures, and programs.

  • Coordinated all pre-employment procedures for all new hires.

  • Assist in the analysis of labor turnover and the development and execution of corrective actions.

  • Participates in company-wide HR meetings, initiatives, etc.

  • Plans coordinates, conducts management training for skills development in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.

  • Carries out employee recognition program for designated division(s).

  • Represents organization at civic professional organizations (i.e. SHRM committee, local educational resources, etc.)

  • Responds to inquired regarding organizational policies to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity across the organization.

  • Prepares budget of human resources operations.

Additional Information:

  • Responsible for broad, independent decision-making.

  • Accesses confidential information, including confidential employee data.

  • Has daily contact with fellow employees in other units of the company, top management, vendors/suppliers, Federal/State government agencies.

Job Specifications or Qualifications:

Certificates, Licenses, Registration: Must have or be in pursuit of PHR, SPHR, or other professional HR certification.

Education: College Degree (4 year) in HR Management or similar degree; Graduate Degree in HR management or related discipline is preferred.

Experience: 5 to 7 (+) years prior, related experience is required.

Supervisory Experience: 5 -7 (+) years is required.
