STVhas an immediate opportunity for a National Technical Lead for Electrical/I&C and SCADA Automation Services with our National Water Practice. This position requires a Florida Professional Engineering License. Preference to live in the Tampa, FL area and can work out of any of our FL locations.

Leadership Responsibilities Include:

  • Serve in the primary leadership role of a growing national team.
  • Participation on Water's National Leadership Team while also building a team in Florida.
  • Will have technical staff and regional leads reporting to this position.
  • Works with the Regional Directors and Group President to develop a refined vision and implementation plan to grow E/I&C and SCADA Automation services while integrating security services including IT, OT, and Cybersecurity into our planning and designs.

Technical Expertise Includes:

  • Production of contract documents including plans and specifications.
  • Develops I/O lists, control narratives, instrumentation and control plans.
  • Specifies instrumentation, control panel hardware, PLC systems.
  • Works with team on development and review of P&IDs.
  • Develops wiring diagrams, electrical interconnects, panel layouts, junction box design, PLC design, plot plans, loop diagrams, I/O lists, P&IDs, cable/conduit schedules, electrical and instrumentation details.
  • Prepares construction and design cost estimates.
  • Develops project specific specifications.
  • Perform engineering duties in planning and designing controls systems for an array of water related facilities including treatment plants, pumping stations, storage tanks, reservoirs, and industrial water related systems.
  • Responsible for project management, client interface and business development of future projects which support water projects as well as stand-alone projects with water clients.
  • Mentors and guides the team.
  • Makes site visits during design and construction. May assist with commissioning services.
  • Perform construction services including submittal review of control panels, instrumentation, controls review of process equipment, etc.

Qualified Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited University or NCEES equivalent.
  • A minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience designing control systems for water and wastewater treatment distribution and/or industrial facilities.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer is required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, and NFPA 820.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience managing in office and remote teams in other geographies.
  • Demonstrated experience in sales, marketing, and BD related to these requisite services.
  • Hiring and retention experience to build winning teams.

Compensation Range:

$182,503.85 - $228,129.81
