Position Summary The HR Manager provides comprehensive human resources support and oversight across MemorialCare's Shared Services, Medical Foundation, and Select Health Plan divisions. This role serves as the primary HR business partner for employees and managers in both on-site and remote locations, including out-of-state personnel. Key responsibilities include managing employee engagement initiatives, administering leave of absence and workers' compensation programs, overseeing orientation and onboarding processes, coordinating wellness programs, handling terminations, and maintaining comprehensive employee file management systems. The position requires expertise in employment law compliance across multiple jurisdictions, strong employee relations skills, and the ability to support a diverse, geographically dispersed workforce while ensuring consistent application of HR policies and practices throughout all supported divisions. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: * Serve as primary HR business partner for employees and managers across Shared Services, Medical Foundation clinics, and Select Health Plan divisions. * Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, performance concerns, and disciplinary actions. Conduct thorough investigations of workplace complaints and policy violations * Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment law compliance across multiple jurisdictions. * Partner with managers and supervisors to address staffing needs, performance management, and organizational development. * Coach managers on effective leadership practices, employee engagement strategies, and progressive discipline * Oversee comprehensive orientation and onboarding programs for new hires. * Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives across all supported divisions * Design and execute retention strategies to enhance employee experience. * Manage all aspects of leave of absence administration, including FMLA, state disability, and company leaves. * Oversee workers' compensation claims process from initial reporting through return-to-work coordination. * Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely reporting to insurance carriers and regulatory agencies. * Conduct exit interviews and coordinate voluntary and involuntary terminations. * Ensure proper documentation and compliance with final pay. * Oversee comprehensive employee file management systems, maintaining confidentiality and compliance. Implement document retention policies and ensure secure storage of personnel records. * Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple jurisdictions. * Support annual compliance training, including Preventing Harassment Training for staff and managers. * Coordinate with legal counsel on employment-related matters. * Develop and implement HR practices tailored to remote and hybrid work arrangements. * Ensure equitable treatment and consistent policy application for remote employees. * Facilitate virtual employee engagement and communication initiatives |
