THE ROLE:

As Section Manager, Logistics, you will lead AMD's logistics operations at a key supplier partner site, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials and finished goods in support of AMD's global business units. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, driving operational excellence across all logistics functions at the site level.

You will manage the relationship and execution with key supplier, providing direction, support, and performance oversight. In addition to overseeing day-to-day logistics execution, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders and AMD's global logistics teams to ensure alignment with corporate objectives, compliance standards, and customer expectations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead daily logistics operations at a strategic supplier partner site, ensuring timely and accurate execution of shipments and inventory movements.
  • Serve as the primary logistics point of contact for internal stakeholders, aligning site-level activities with program timelines and business objectives.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, proactively resolving issues and preventing delays across global regions.
  • Monitor and maintain shipment and inventory tracking, ensuring accuracy, visibility, and communication of exceptions.
  • Collaborate with AMD's global logistics teams to ensure seamless coordination and execution.
  • Partner with procurement and supplier teams to integrate logistics priorities into broader strategies and negotiations.
  • Ensure compliance with global trade regulations and support audit readiness in partnership with AMD's Global Trade Compliance team.
  • Develop and maintain logistics performance dashboards and reports to drive data-informed decisions and operational insights.
  • Identify and implement process improvements tailored to site operations, enhancing scalability, efficiency, and service levels.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Extensive Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics & Transportation, or Supplier Management is a plus
  • Extensive experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations roles, including in a leadership or management capacity.
  • Experience managing site-level logistics operations in a high-tech or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of global trade compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficiency in logistics systems and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Excel, Power BI, and ThoughtSpot).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
* Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma, PMP) are a plus.
