Job Summary The Patient Care Coordinator serves as a key liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and program stakeholders. This role focuses on improving patient access to prescribed therapies by navigating reimbursement processes, affordability support, and program enrollment. The coordinator will build strong relationships with providers and patients, ensuring seamless communication and support throughout the care journey.
Key Responsibilities * Advocate for patients regarding program enrollment, reimbursement, affordability support, and therapy access. * Serve as the primary contact for assigned healthcare providers, offering ongoing support and program information. * Partner with prescribers and patients to eliminate non-clinical barriers to therapy access. * Maintain accurate records in compliance with program standards and regulations. * Understand and communicate payer types including commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, VA, and DoD. * Act as a regional liaison to client contacts, including sales representatives. * Escalate complex cases per program guidelines. * Provide exceptional customer service while representing the brand and program. * Collaborate with Program Management and Clients to share insights on patient status, provider feedback, and program effectiveness. * Educate and advocate for patients to improve health outcomes. * Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions. * Resolve conflicts professionally and efficiently. * Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills * Customer Service & Call Center Experience * Prior Authorization & Insurance Verification * Medical Terminology & Claims Processing * Medicare & Medicaid Knowledge * Healthcare Customer Service * Pharmacy Benefit Understanding * Patient Registration & Case Management * Bilingual (Preferred) Qualifications * Minimum 3 years of experience in the healthcare industry. * Experience in medical or healthcare settings preferred. * Familiarity with reimbursement processes and patient care coordination. * Strong communication and relationship-building skills. * Positive, flexible, and eager to learn. * Professional, organized, dependable, and self-sufficient. * Strong time management and attention to detail. * Comfortable in fast-paced, call center environments. * Tech-savvy and proficient with computer systems. * *Must be amenable to complete 3 months of onsite training - role will be fully remote after the training.* *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
