Job Title: Call Center Representative Job DescriptionThe Call Center Representative is responsible for efficiently managing a high volume of inbound and outbound calls related to health insurance. Using call center scripts, they will identify customer needs, clarify information, assist with enrollment using sales techniques, and provide solutions. The role includes maintaining records of conversations and meeting team and personal targets.
Responsibilities * Answer inbound calls to process PCP Change Requests, send member ID cards, explain portal login, and update member demographics. * Access and interpret customer accounts and provider data to provide accurate responses to inquiries. * Assist customers in the enrollment process using effective sales techniques. * Document all customer interactions accurately. * Report problems to maintain communication equipment. * Complete assigned projects to accomplish sales and organizational missions. * Adhere to established quality and production standards. * Maintain customer privacy and protect company proprietary information. Essential Skills * Minimum 2 years of recent healthcare experience in a call center, customer service, or health insurance-related role. * Experience with answering inbound calls from patients. * Bilingual in Spanish is required for at least 2 out of every 4 candidates. * Strong internet connection for remote work. * High School Diploma is required. Additional Skills & Qualifications * 1-2 years in insurance sales, open enrollment, retention, or call center sales is preferred. * Marketplace enrollment experience is highly preferred. * Managed care experience (1-2 years) is a plus. * Candidates with both health insurance and call center experience are preferred. Work Environment This hybrid role requires candidates to be local to Austin, TX. The team consists of 13 representatives and a supervisor. Training is conducted in-office and can take up to two weeks. Work shifts are any 8-hour period between 6 AM and 6 PM on a rotating schedule, with weekend rotation for one team member to work Saturday or Sunday from 9 AM to 12 PM. Employees receive two 15-minute breaks and a 1-hour lunch. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, Texas. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
