Position Overview

Riverside Research's Intelligence and Defense Solutions Directorate has a full-time opening in the Dayton, Ohio area for a Senior Facilities Engineer. This position will support the National Space and Intelligence Center at WPAFB Dayton, Ohio by providing experienced bachelor's degree level or above Senior Facilities Engineer support to Provide A4CM senior Critical Infrastructure Operations Engineering technical advice for both modern and aged mechanical, HVAC, electrical, power, controls facilities infrastructure systems and technical engineering leadership, mentoring, cross-organization communications, and quality assurance.



Responsibilities

    Provide oversight for engineers and thier associated facilities mechanical/HVAC and electrical/industrial controls projects
  • Provide power, cooling, and utility system reliability and resiliency engineering to assure highly available intelligence mission facilities
  • Facilitate engineering studies or procure equipment and materials as directed by the government
  • Manage project look ahead schedules and forecast critical activities for coordination
  • Prepare, maintain and deliver timely project status reports to all stakeholders
  • Provide timely recommendations and drive the issue resolution process
  • Evaluate and communicate risks
  • Collaborate and coordinate with subcontractors, engineers, architects and key team members of the project delivery team
  • Participate in the request for information process to ensure stakeholder equities
  • Participate in the submittal review process to ensure compliance
  • Ensure all deadlines are met and activities synchronized with stakeholders
  • Conduct site checks to monitor progress and ensure adherence to all quality standards
  • Document and maintain critical project information through construction
  • Ensure compliance with all safety requirements, security regulations and building codes
  • All other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Must have a current Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance or ability to obtain
  • BS degree in Architecture, Engineering or another related field
  • 10 years experance
  • Technical experience with chilled beam and facility mechanical systems
  • Technical experience with facilities electrical and industrial controls
  • Previous experience in a leadership role with strong and proven leadership skill
  • Highly organized
  • Strong planning capability
  • Conflict resolution and conflict management experience
  • Excellent time management ability
  • Able to multitask with a strong understanding of core manager duties
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities, including negotiation skills
  • Familiar with project management software programs
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite

Desired Qualifications

  • PE or an equivalent certification would be considered an asset
  • Previous construction and/or operating experience in a sensitive compartmented information facility would be considered an asset
