The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center and Certified Behavioral Health Clinic serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. We are deeply committed to our clients and are dedicated to implementing a comprehensive model of care. The Guidance Center (TGC) is currently seeking a Staff Psychiatrist. This position is responsible for providing psychopharmacological assessment and treatment to clients served by The Guidance Center in all three clinics. Benefits
Responsibilities 1. Provide initial assessments and follow-up psychiatric treatment for clients of TGC. 2. Participate in a team approach for treatment with fellow medical staff. Display a collaborative style interdepartmentally for those clients seen by multiple providers at TGC. 3. Coordinate services with other community providers when necessary. 4. Provide consultation to other TGC providers, including other medical staff to assist in crisis intervention, urgent clinical situations, or medical specific advice for other providers when necessary. 5. Provide all services in compliance with the clinical guidelines of The Guidance Center and regulatory bodies. 6. Understand and adhere to productivity and efficiency goals established by TGC for the position. 7. Produce timely documentation (clinical notes, reports, and other professional items) which comply with TGC's standards and the requirements of all funding sources. 8. Be able to organize work to meet client needs and TGC expectations. 9. Adapt to changing work priorities and a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism. 10. Maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with TGC staff as well as external customers and referral sources. EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:
EXPERIENCE: Two years' experience in treating patients in an outpatient clinical setting (preferred).
