Job Summary:
The Aircraft Mechanic II (12-C) role involves performing , preventing or treating corrosion on aircraft systems,
including structures, landing gear, flight surfaces, engines, avionics, hydraulic systems, and more, as part of the
HSM-41 Navy or Multi-Foreign component. This position works closely with foreign and U.S. personnel to maintain
and ensure aircraft safety and mission readiness.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
* Aircraft Maintenance & Repair:
o Repair, rebuild, prevent and treat corrosion on aircraft systems (structure, engines, rotor systems,
avionics, etc.).
o Work with tools such as shears, rivet guns, drills, sand paper, paints and more to ensure proper
maintenance of systems.
o Handle and repair components like hydraulic units, plumbing, and surface controls.
* Inspection & Troubleshooting:
o Perform hourly and calendar inspections, phase, and periodic inspections etc.
o Examine engines for cracks, corrosion, leaks, and other defects; test engine operations and repair
or replace components as needed.
o Inspect and prevent or treat corrosion on aircraft systems various aircraft parts including turbines,
generators, fuel pumps, and more.
* Electrical & Accessory Maintenance:
o Perform repairs, prevent or treat corrosion on aircraft systems of electrical wiring systems and
aircraft accessories.
o Conduct preflight, through-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections.
o Service the aircraft by cleaning filters, greasing parts, and ensuring brake and corrosion
prevention.
* Jacking, Towing & Records:
o Participate in aircraft jacking and towing.
o Maintain detailed records of all maintenance performed, ensuring compliance with safety
standards, and complete tasking on MAF's in OOMA IAW 4790.
* Leadership & Specialization:
o May specialize in specific areas such as engines, airframes, electrical, or armament repair,
corrosion treatment and prevention.
o Monitor safety procedures and ensure the aircraft remain in safe, mission-ready condition.
o Responsible for all administration of work center and multiple work shifts, responsible for all
employees, all work center reports as required, etc.
o Coordinate with US Navy in all tasking to support aircraft, maintenance, operation and special
tasking.

o Ability to expertly use and navigate Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity (OOMA)
* Other Responsibilities:
o Ensure all housekeeping in the work area are done on a daily basis.
o Participate in FOD (Foreign Object Damage) program.
o Handle hazardous materials (Hazmat) and work in compliance with safety requirements.
o Ensure all PPE is available for work center shifts.
* Maintain necessary certifications such as Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) or Quality Assurance
Representative (QAR).
o Obtain necessary licenses for specialized SE equipment.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Education and Experience:
o High school diploma or equivalent.
o Minimum of 8 years of H-60S/R/F/H Aircraft Maintenance experience or equivalent rotary aircraft
maintenance experience, prevent and treat corrosion on aircraft systems and Leadership/manage
of an O level aircraft work center.
o Minimum of 8 years of experience as CDI/CDQAR (Collateral Duty Inspector/Quality Assurance
Representative) for H-60 aircraft.
o Able to pass a respirator physical and ability to wear a respirator
* Technical Skills:
o In-depth knowledge of aircraft and maintenance procedures.
o Ability to read and interpret technical data, manuals, and special operating instructions.
* Certifications:
o Must be able to obtain and maintain CDI or QAR qualifications.
o Must be able to obtain and maintain all required qualifications as per CNAFINST 4790.2 (series).
o Proof of Aircraft Corrosion Course (Course C-600-3183) and Aircraft Paint Touch Up, Markings
Course (Course N-701-0014)
o Respiratory Protection Program Manager (RPPM)/Coordinator for the work site.
* Clearance & Licensing:
o Must be able to obtain and maintain a T3 Security Clearance.
o Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
o Must have a valid state driver's license.
* Work Schedule:
o Ability to work all shifts as per the flight schedule.
o Flexibility in start and end times based on operational needs.
* Language Skills:
o Must be proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English.

* Ability to work with foreign cultures and languages.
* Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and medical examination.
* Ability to meet physical requirements for the position.
* Compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
* Must be able to handle and dispose of hazardous materials as required.

Working Conditions:
* Must be capable of lifting 50lbs and performing physical tasks as required.
* Computer usage for documentation using codes and clear written and verbal English language
required.
* Constant use of eye sight abilities while reviewing documents, walking around work areas and
constant use of English language speech/hearing abilities for communication.
* Constant mental alertness around all work areas, must possess planning/organization skills, and
must be able to work under deadlines.
* Climbing aircraft using aircraft step and all types of ladders or stands.
* Standing for a long period of time with minimal sitting.
* Ability to work under extreme weather conditions.
* Work site has head, hand, hearing, eye, slip and trip hazards shall use proper PPE and proper
safety procedures.
