Start Date ASAP Contract Home Office Salary Range DOE Posting Date 09/05/2025 Union No FLSA Status Exempt Shift Work No FT/PT Full-Time Relocation No Travel Possible Job Summary: The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst will transform M1's centralized data into actionable insights, reports, and dashboards. Working within the Azure Government Community Cloud (GCCH) environment, the BI Analyst will collaborate with the Project Manager, Data Engineer, and Lead BI Analyst to translate business requirements into effective BI solutions. This role emphasizes hands-on dashboard development, cross-functional teamwork, and compliance-driven reporting to support M1's programs and leadership decision-making. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Collaboration with Lead BI Analyst * Develop dashboards and reports under the guidance of the Lead BI Analyst, following BI standards and visualization best practices. * Perform quality assurance checks on dashboards and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance. * Contribute to the development of CDRL ( Contract Data Requirements List) compliance reports and executive-level dashboards. * Support knowledge-sharing and documentation for sustainable BI practices. Collaboration with Project Manager * Translate project objectives and business requirements into reporting deliverables. * Support tracking of dashboard/reporting milestones and deliverables. * Participate in requirements-gathering sessions and document reporting needs for operational, administrative, and compliance dashboards. Collaboration with Data Engineer * Partner with Data Engineers to ensure validated data pipelines support BI tools. * Provide feedback on data structures, queries, and logic to optimize reporting performance. * Assist with troubleshooting and validating data pipeline outputs. Dashboard and Reporting Development * Build interactive dashboards and KPI reports for program managers, executives, and operational staff. * Maintain and enhance existing dashboards to align with evolving business needs. * Develop trend and forecasting dashboards that support M1's long-term analytics initiatives. Page 2 of 3 Compliance and Security * Ensure BI solutions adhere to DoD, DFARS, and CMMC compliance standards. * Implement secure BI practices, including role-based access and data governance. * Support validation, audit, and compliance reporting processes. Additional Relevant Duties as Assigned Qualifications and Experience: Education and Certifications * Bachelor's degree in information systems, Business Analytics, or related field. * Equivalent education or relevant experience may be considered. * Professional certifications preferred (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate). Experience * 3-5 years of experience developing dashboards and reports in BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik). * Hands-on SQL query development and experience working with structured datasets. * Exposure to cloud data environments (Azure preferred; GCCH or other regulated environments highly desirable). Experience collaborating with project managers, engineers, and senior analysts. * Prior experience supporting compliance or regulatory reporting strongly preferred. Skills and Competencies * Proficiency with BI visualization platforms and SQL. * Ability to translate business requirements into effective data-driven dashboards and reports. Strong attention to detail with focus on data accuracy, validation, and compliance. * Excellent teamwork and communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders. * Growth mindset with willingness to learn advanced analytics under senior guidance. Working Conditions: * Reports to IT Operations Director, based at M1's Denton, TX office. * Hybrid work environment available, subject to business needs. * Primarily office-based; occasional travel or after-hours work may be required. * U.S. citizenship required; must be eligible for security clearance as role supports compliance-regulated environments.
