Pay Range: $45.29 - $76.99 / hour Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Responsibilities:
- Quality oversight for all support Departments (Warehouse, Materials Management, Facilities, BME/Metrology, Referral Testing, and Long-Term Storage) in Building D.
- Host external audits and ensure documents are readily available.
- Ensuring all Isensix temperature/humidity logs in all areas are reviewed and compliant, including Isensix equipment probe calibration.
- Onboarding and training new hires to ensure compliance with all quality standards and Quest Systems (MediaLab, SmartSolve, Empower/Self-service, etc.)
- Overseeing Metrology and BME services to ensure staff are trained and documentation Preventive Maintenance for equipment is available.
- Overseeing Referral testing to ensure quality batches are sent out at the correct temperature.
- Sign and review all maintenance logs for the warehouse supporting pre-post analytical processes.
- Organizing Personnel records and ensuring staff are trained on functions they are performing.
- Conducting Root Cause analysis and implementing CAPA for quality issues as they arise.
- Participates in the internal audit program as an internal auditor.
- In coordination with management, they will ensure that departmental standard operating procedures and respective databases are regularly updated to accurately reflect current processes.
In coordination with management, they will oversee department training, competency programs, and any annual trainings required for staff.
Qualifications:
Required WorkExperience:
- Minimum of 4-5 year's progressive experience as a scientist/medical technologist in a clinical laboratory which includes at least 2-4 years of high complexity testing and associated methodologies for the applicable position being applied for as a California State Licensed or Limited License Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
Preferred Work Experience: N/A Physical and Mental Requirements:
- The normal performance of duties may require lifting and carrying objects. Objects in the weight range of 1 to 10 pounds are lifted and carried frequently; objects in theweight range of 11 to 25 pounds are lifted and carried occasionally and objects in the weight range of 26 to 50 pounds are seldom lifted and carried. Objects exceeding 50 pounds are not to be lifted or carried without assistance.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks. Frequent simple grasping, reaching and fine manipulation.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods.
- Have good eye and hand coordination.
Knowledge: N/A Skills:
- Communication and interpersonal skills necessary to deal courteously and effectively with supervisors, co-workers and clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong typing skills desirable.
- Other automation skills helpful.
Education: Bachelor's degree required. License/Certification: Active California Clinical Lab Scientist license required (generalist or limited license).
