Job Requirements

The Product Manager II is the central team hub supporting strategic and tactical product activities. They are responsible for establishing and communicating the product's long-term vision and strategy and how it supports and achieves the client's goals and initiatives. They are responsible for creating and implementing production strategies that drive adoption, resource efficiency, and value delivery. This role closely aligns with the Product Owner's and the client's strategic plans. They conduct thorough problem identification, product planning, client expectation management, competitive analysis, user story creation, and backlog management. The PdM II consistently displays leadership and contributes to Fearless's herd and product management practice.

By managing product roadmaps, stakeholder communications, and backlog prioritization, they play a vital role in delivering high-quality products that address user needs and business objectives. This role enhances team collaboration, reduces risks, and fosters a culture of product thinking within Fearless and client organizations.


Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary interface with CO/COR and oversee delivery progress.
  • Coordinate staff activities, transition planning, and ensure SLA compliance.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives).
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain alignment between contractor efforts and evolving needs.
  • Develop and deliver user-facing documentation, training, and demos to support adoption of new tools and processes. Lead onboarding and knowledge transfer to agency staff.
  • Own the product roadmap and ensure backlog is prioritized, refined, and aligned to mission goals.
  • Gather requirements and translate them into actionable stories for engineering teams.
  • Continuously track progress and facilitate issue management.
  • Conduct ongoing user research and usability testing to validate requirements and inform delivery.
  • Apply service design and customer experience practices to improve adoption and usability.
  • Ensure solutions are user-friendly, compliant, and support agency business processes.
  • Translates roadmaps and visions into user stories and epics.
  • Develops, communicates, and executes long-term product vision and strategy.
  • Manages the discovery phase to ensure proper problem identification validation.
  • Partners with clients to monitor adoption, cost savings, and inform product decisions.
  • Creates value propositions and partners with stakeholders to establish MVPs.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, teams, and partners.


Work Experience
Skills and Competencies:
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Must already possess or have the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • Must have at least 7 years of experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead in agile delivery environments, facilitate ceremonies, and ensure iterative delivery.
  • Strong skills in guiding adoption, training, onboarding, and stakeholder communication.
  • Proven ability to manage expectations across technical and business teams, aligning diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience owning a product roadmap, backlog, and translating mission requirements into delivery priorities.
  • Knowledge of user research methods (usability testing, interviews, feedback loops) and service design practices to inform development.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, Power BI for backlog management, tracking, and reporting.
  • Strong written and oral communication, executive presentation skills, and ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Practical knowledge of GitHub and GitLab to support adoption, onboarding, and effective collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Ability to operate, manage work, build relationships, and influence others.
  • Product management experience in government contracting/consulting.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer or during meetings.
  • Must be able to travel occasionally to client sites or company meetings.
  • Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and in-person, requiring clear speech, listening, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to move within an office environment, including reaching for files, using office equipment, and occasional light lifting (up to 10 pounds).

The salary range for this position is:

Minimum Salary: $91,554

Salary Midpoint: $119,020

Maximum Salary: $146,486

Hiring Range: $91,554 - $126,671
