Head of Programming - Retail Engagement

Retail Engagement, Marketing, and Merchandising

This is a 12-month, full-time (40 hours/week), hybrid contract role located in Culver City, CA.


Summary
We are seeking a strategic and creative programming leader to design and deliver culturally relevant in-store, virtual, and digital content experiences. This role drives the vision, development, and execution of programs that engage customers, build community, and support key business priorities. The Head of Programming will collaborate cross-functionally and with external partners to produce impactful events and initiatives that elevate the retail experience.

  • Extensive experience in developing and managing high-profile events, content series, and experiential programming



  • Passion for cultural and creative industries with a strong foundation in content strategy and event production



  • Proficient in program development, event management, and measurement tools, with strong strategic planning skills



  • Familiar with virtual event platforms, broadcast production, and experiential formats



  • Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams including marketing, production, communications, operations, and creative



  • Able to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously and independently



  • Flexible and adaptable to shifting business priorities, timelines, and stakeholders



  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to influence across all levels of an organization



  • Well-connected within cultural and creative industries and able to identify and source talent aligned with brand values




Job Description
In this role, you will build and deliver regional and geo-wide programming strategies that support business objectives while ensuring cultural relevance. You'll partner with cross-functional teams, regional leads, and external partners to implement engaging programs across formats such as group events, live sessions, and digital content. This includes identifying talent, developing strategic roadmaps, leading pan-geo initiatives, and measuring program effectiveness. You will also ensure programming ladders up to broader organizational priorities while supporting community engagement and customer experience.

Education and Experience


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Events, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience



  • Background in event production, experiential marketing, or program strategy



  • Preferred: Experience leading large-scale projects in retail, cultural, or creative industries

This opportunity is located in Culver City, CA, and requires hybrid work.

The pay for this W-2 position is $98.75 per hour.

This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
