What we do:

We are seeking a Director of Global Revenue Analytics to lead our efforts in building a best-in-class analytics capability that drives The Trade Desk's growth strategy. This role combines deep technical expertise in data science with strategic revenue modeling and business acumen. The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of quantitative rigor and executive storytelling-able to design sophisticated models while translating insights into strategic decisions for senior leadership.

You will build and lead a global team focused on revenue performance analytics, forecasting methodologies, and advanced data science approaches to measurement. This is a highly visible role with significant exposure to the CFO, COO, and global Sales leadership.

At The Trade Desk, you'll be at the center of shaping how the world's largest brands invest in media. This role offers the opportunity to set the global standard for revenue analytics, influence company-wide strategy, and grow a world-class analytics team.

What you'll do:



  • Revenue Modeling & Forecasting:
    - Develop, maintain, and continuously enhance global revenue forecasting models that integrate historical revenue data, pipeline, advertiser/agency dynamics, and macroeconomic factors.
    - Partner with Sales Finance and Strategy teams to ensure forecasts are both statistically robust and strategically aligned.
  • Advanced Analytics & Data Science
    - Apply machine learning, econometrics, and predictive modeling techniques to drive better understanding of revenue drivers, seasonality, and advertiser behavior.
    - Translate complex datasets into actionable insights that inform go-to-market strategy, compensation design, and account planning.
  • Strategic Business Partnership
    - Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives on revenue trends, opportunities, and risks.
    - Synthesize analytics into clear narratives for board-level and executive-level decision-making.
  • Team Leadership & Scale
    - Build and lead a high-performing global team of analysts and data scientists.
    - Establish best practices for analytics, governance, and measurement across geographies.
    - Drive cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Revenue Operations, Product, and Engineering.


Who you are:



  • Education & Experience
    - 10+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or finance, ideally with exposure to high-growth technology or digital advertising companies.
    - Advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a quantitative field preferred.
  • Technical Skills
    - Strong proficiency in SQL, Python/R, and statistical modeling techniques.
    - Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow) and cloud-based data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.).
    - Proven ability to design and implement revenue forecasting models at global scale.
  • Leadership & Influence
    - Demonstrated experience leading analytics or data science teams in a global, matrixed environment.
    - Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into strategic insights for executive stakeholders.
    - Strong business judgment, with a track record of shaping strategy through analytics.

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$137,300 $251,800 USD
