Job Summary: The Project Lead - Structured Cabling will act as the on-site coordinator and supervisor of several Crew Leads - Structured Cabling for voice and data installation projects. The Project Lead - Structured Cabling's task will be to the ensure job completion according to company and customer quality and safety requirements while maintaining the efficiency of the staff assigned to the project. General Job Duties and Responsibilities: * The Project Lead Structured Cabling will consistently run major project crews, assumeresponsibility for effective performance and provide necessary training, assumeresponsibility for adherence to Company and customer safety, quality guidelines, and holdweekly safety meetings, initiate performance-related communications, and escalate toProject Manager if necessary. * The Project Lead Structured Cabling coordinates with Project Manager to ensureproductivity, job completion, and compliance with the project budget. * The Project Lead Structured Cabling fully completes all IES COMMERCIAL and projectpaperwork accurately and on time (specifically timesheets, material transfers, work orders,change orders, tool transfers, and others as required). * The Project Lead Structured Cabling will perform quality checks, coordinate moves, andcut sheets for voice and data cross-connects, prepare red-lined as-built drawings. * The Project Lead Structured Cabling serves as main on-site customer contact for questionsand/or concerns, attend facility and construction meetings when required. * The Project Lead Structured Cabling performs work consistently, demonstrating a detailedlevel of technical knowledge, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues as they arise. * The Project Lead Structured Cabling will complete other responsibilities as assigned. Min USD $22.00/Hr. Max USD $30.00/Hr. Qualifications Physical and Mental Requirements: Operate as a team member of management Strong verbal and written communication skills Lead by positive example on policy, quality, safety, employee, ethical, and customer satisfaction attitude. Must be able to work a non-standard work schedule as required to provide job, team or individual specific training. For demonstration purposes, must be able to climb ladders, use hand and power tools, lift 50 pounds. Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and lead others to create, develop, implement and review project process improvement(s). Must promote the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners. Must possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s). Must have proven high skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting and quality requirements. Must be able to travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed. Must be able to learn and teach Company and customer project management systems. Estimated 50% travel Regular attendance is mandatory. Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. Must have a minimum of three (3) years training experience or related role. Must have a minimum of five (5) years project management experience in telecommunications, electrical or a related technical or construction field. Prefer BICSI trainer certification. Must have demonstrated knowledge of job costing, job planning, quality management, safety training and contract administration. Must have working knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and their applications. Skilled in numerical and statistical analysis. Must be able to organize and plan your work and work of others. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project). Must meet Company minimum driving standards. Working knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theory practice preferred Must be able to lead and work as part of a team. Ability to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job. Possess good knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and their application. Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications Working knowledge of construction process (bid process, project management, delegation, financial etc. Must have BICSI Technician certification Prefer BICSI trainer certification.
