Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more that 3.500 partent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN). As part of our team, you will: Work with our current team to conduct high-quality fundamental research and apply the findings to problems that arise in a wide range of Nokia applications. Likely focus areas include:
- Networking
- Operation research
- Environmental footprint assessment.
Mandatory skills
- Strong and proven background in mathematical or computing sciences
- Basic skills in Operation Research: linear programing
- Graph theory
- Programming skills
- python3
- Git
- Oriented Object Programming (inheritance, method overloading, etc.)
- Comfortable with debugging
- Comfortable reading / writing technical and scientific documents in English
Recommended skills
- A natural interest in innovatively applying fundamental tools and methods to focused problem areas such as assessing and optimizing the environmental footprint of a distributed system
- Technical skills:
- Jupyter notebook / Jupyter lab
- Continuous Integration (gitlab or github)
