Description Acara Solutions is seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support our client's advanced engineering team in ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity requirements and classified system directives. Location: Arlington, TX Temp to Hire Payrate: $45 - $55/hr. Key Responsibilities: Apply DAAPM and RMF frameworks to determine IA requirements and assess cyber risks. Conduct vulnerability analyses, develop mitigation plans, and verify implementation of security controls. Prepare and maintain system authorization documentation, security management plans, and continuous monitoring records. Monitor systems using SIEM tools for Indicators of Compromise (IOC) and maintain configuration control. Support offsite teams with compliance, certification, and cybersecurity training requirements. Collaborate with system engineers, developers, and architects to design secure technical solutions. Perform audits, compliance scans, and assist with ATO documentation and incident investigations. Travel to customer or offsite locations as needed (up to 20%). Job Requirements Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (STEM) + 2 years of related experience; or equivalent education/experience combination. Active Secret or Top-Secret clearance. Working knowledge of DoD cybersecurity frameworks (FIPS, NIST SP 800 Series, JSIG, DAAPM, ICD). Preferred Skills: Experience supporting cybersecurity in collateral, SAP, or SCI environments. Proficient with SIEM and compliance tools (Splunk, Nessus, ACAS, SolarWinds, STIG Viewer, Vulnerator). Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
