- Under the direction of the GM, manages the Quality Assurance Department for the client's Repair Stations.
- The Quality Assurance Manager may fulfill the role of Accountable Manager and, as such, has the authority over all Repair Station operations that are conducted under 14 CFR Part 145.
- Ensures compliance with all elements of 14 CFR Part 145.
- Plans, organizes, staffs, controls, and directs the Quality Assurance department.
- Promotes aviation safety by ensuring airworthy and quality aircraft maintenance.
- Develops and maintains the FAA Repair Station Manual and Quality Control Manual.
- Develops and maintains foreign certifications and associated supplements.
- Develops and administers FAA Parts Manufacturing Approval (if applicable).
- Interprets Federal Aviation Regulations into company policy/procedure.
- Administers the company's quality systems.
- Administers the Internal Quality Audit Program.
- Coordinates with Department Managers and the Training Program Coordinator for the requirements of the Repair Station Training Program and maintains the technician's training records.
- Administers the Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic equipment calibration program.
- Manages the Repair Station's record-keeping requirements.
- Ensures that all technical data is current.
- Controls the issue of inspectors' stamps and manages the Repair Station rosters.
- Recommends, as required, individuals for a repairman's certificate.
- Communicates company and department managers' goals and objectives to their staff, and communicates the staff's suggestions and concerns as appropriate.
- May travel to customer locations to establish or maintain good working relations, including dispute resolution.
- Observes company rules and regulations, including housekeeping and proper use of safety methods, and the safe operation of proper equipment.
- Prepares department budget for fiscal year operations.
- Develops strategic plans for the continuous improvement of quality.
- Stays current with industry trends and innovations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the General Manager.
- Perform special assignments and projects as necessary by management.

Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Aviation or Engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Quality supervision/management role in a business aircraft MRO or FAA Repair Station environment with oversight of 10+ employees.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in an ISO-certified environment.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience with the FAA Flight Standards District Office.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Aircraft Maintenance Management or Aerospace Engineering.
- Working Knowledge of FAA and Federal Aviation Regulations pertaining to maintenance programs and procedures.
- Computer skills necessary to learn or operate word processing, spreadsheet, database, email, and web-based applications.
- Working knowledge of process improvement methodology and application (Six Sigma).
- Working knowledge of Safety Management Systems.
- Working knowledge of accounting and budgeting principles necessary to read and interpret profit/loss statements, financial reports, and meet financial objectives for assigned area and programs.
- Working knowledge of current trends and best practices within the Quality field.
- Thorough knowledge of all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with a variety of individuals, departments, organizations, and regulatory agencies.
- Business writing skills necessary to create various reports and correspondence.
- Presentation skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade, or facilitate discussions with all levels of management.
- Planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize, assign, and coordinate workload of assigned area and employees in a multiple-project setting.
- FAA Inspection Authorization.
- Write and speak English clearly.
