All about the role:

The Reverse Logistics Business Analyst focusing on appliance repair and refurbishments is a hybrid role that combines the technical skills of an appliance repair technician with the data analysis and process improvement expertise of a business analyst. The role focuses on optimizing the process of receiving, repairing, and reselling returned appliances. This role is responsible for driving data-informed decision-making, operational excellence across refurbishment activities and developing partnerships with repairs and refurbish service companies.

Where you'll be:

This position will be based in the Lancaster, TX and will require 40% to local RDC's.

What you'll do:

  • Drive improvements across key performance indicators (KPIs): returns volume, repair rate, cycle time, recovery rate and revenue, non-sellable inventory, reverse logistics CPU and scrap expense.

  • Use data analytics to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate insights on common failure points, repair costs, and turnaround times by product family.

  • Build and maintain dashboards to provide clear visibility into refurbishment operations for stakeholders.

  • Assist in forecasting return rates and refurbishment volumes to optimize inventory and resource planning.

  • Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve the efficiency of refurbishment processes and minimize costs.

  • Document and standardize repair and testing procedures across multiple refurbishment sites to ensure consistency.

  • Investigate product defects and identify the underlying causes to improve future products and processes.

  • Analyze inspection information to determine if a returned appliance should be repaired for resale or scrapped for parts.

  • Provide expert guidance and support to technicians on complex repair problems and new appliance technologies.

  • Own and continuously improve the master data for all refurbishment activities to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with appliance repair.

  • National Appliance Service Technician Certification (NASTeC), preferred.

  • Strong understanding of data analysis.

  • Advanced experience in the use of the Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
