What You Do.



  • Maintain and promote a safe working environment taking appropriate safety precautions and measures.
  • Always maintain GMP knowledge and execute GMP practices. Strict housekeeping (including tool reconciliation) of all work areas essential throughout facility.
  • Assists with developing, communicating, and executing of plant-led project plans, which may include scope identification/ technical strategy, risk identification, prioritization, and contingency plans, and identifying resource needs.
  • Collaborates effectively with maintenance, manufacturing, engineering, government agencies, OEMs, or contracted vendors on resolving issues related to development and execution of project plans. This includes solutions, designs, equipment selection, manufacturing issues, and related training. This work will be completed under the direction of the Plant Manufacturing Engineer and may require maintenance resources to support workload.
  • Serve as one of the subject matter experts (SME) when assigned to cross functional teams and be willing to learn and share knowledge.
  • Support plant maintenance initiatives by utilizing the predictive maintenance diagnostic tools and procedures provided, interpreting and documenting results. Taking appropriate measures to prevent failure. Assists maintenance technicians in emergency line down situations. Be involved in documenting root cause and subsequent failure prevention activities.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of technical documentation related to projects, equipment, and processes.
  • Consults with continuous improvement team to identify and quantify opportunities including any of the following: developing project scope and objectives, project schedule, project cost and justification, plan for accomplishing project, resources needed, and project documentation.
  • Utilizes CAD drafting, modeling systems, and 3D printing to design mechanical/electrical parts, along with plant and line layouts. Follows all documentation requirements.
  • Equipment changes: Develops purpose and collaborates on objectives, communicates testing plans, executes testing, reviews results, and recommends next steps. Performs tests and recommends changes on equipment.
  • May act as a CAR Capital Project Manager for projects of limited scope and will follow the standards of the Sargento Engineering Process (SEP) and Facilities Engineering Process (FEP).
  • Fully assists in making patent applications as well as refraining from disclosing inventions or ideas to others unless requested to do so by Sargento and assigns all rights to Sargento.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor and/or plant engineer.


Your Education and Experience.



  • Associates Degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school or Journeyman card
  • 3-5 years related experience
  • Individuals with floor level manufacturing, design, maintenance or production experience are preferred
  • Basic CAD & Drafting skill: Autodesk Suite preferred
