Housekeeper (Dogfish Inn - FT Temp)

We are currently hiring a full-time Housekeeper at the Dogfish Inn in Lewes, Delaware. The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and sanitation for Inn grounds, cottages, rooms, corridors, offices, and lobby.

What You'll Brew:

• Responsible for daily cleaning of all rented rooms.
• Strips rooms, makes beds, mops, sweeps, vacuums, and performs all other general cleaning activities.
• Cleans cottages in their entirety; maintain the cleanliness of the cottage bathroom, staircase, corridors, and offices.
• Maintains all outdoor spaces, keeping walkways clear of sand, dirt and trash
• Picks up and sorts trash and recycling
• Stocks minibar, glassware, paper products and all other elements to finalize a room for renting
• Maintains and keeps inventory of required cleaning supplies and tools
• Responsible for linen management including laundering in house
• Manages the in and out of dirty/clean linens while anticipating future needs
• Creates, modifies and executes any cleaning SOPs for quick turns, stay overs and seasonal deep cleans
• Performs light buildings and ground work: changes lightbulbs, fixes blinds, tightens screws, etc.
• Works safely with a variety of chemicals
• Performs monthly inventory of all cleanings supplies and linens
• Helps to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the laundry room, cleaning room, and closet areas.
• Trains new coworkers and helps manage and oversee contracted cleaners

What Ingredients You'll Bring:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: High School/GED
• 5+ years of housekeeping experience for rental or hotel properties
• Basic computer skills
• Self-starter, motivated and proactive
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with/as a team
• Strong organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using commercial laundry machines, processing laundry, and stain treatment
• Product knowledge and familiarity with the area is a bonus
• Experience using hand tools, cleaning tools, and power tools

Level: 10IC

In accordance with pay transparency laws the pay rate for this role if hired is $18.00 per hour. However, it's important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location.
