Position Title: Experienced CNC Set-Up Technician
Wage: $30.00 + per hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6:00am-3:30pm (Mon-Fri) QPS Employment Group has a great Experienced CNC Set-Up Technician position available at a great company in Glendale, MO. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire. Experienced CNC Set-Up Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Program mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part program. - Set-Up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three-and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming heads. - Measure and evaluate parts using precision measuring devices including calipers, micrometers and gauges. - Load feed mechanism by lifting stock into position. - Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces, adhering to international standards. - Read and follow blueprints, sketches, diagrams. - Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes. - Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs. - Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with company procedures, rules, and regulations. - Demonstrated experience with G-Code programming, MasterCam a plus. Experienced CNC Set-Up Technician Requirements: - Experience with Haas, Okuma and/or Mazak preferred. - Minimum of 2-3 years of experience programming, set-up and operating CNC Mills and/or CNC Lathes. - Must be able to stand up to 8 hours a day, lift. - Must have good attendance. - Must have consistent and reliable means of transportation. - Manufacturing using Lean methodology experience preferred. - Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. bridgeton@qpsemployment.com About us: QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
