This role is part of Alcon's Manufacturing function, a team that designs, produces and delivers innovative eyecare products to more than 140 countries through operational excellence and efficiency.

The Operator I, Production Technical Operations (Para-Professional & Support Path), is primarily responsible for handling manual and operational tasks in production, ensuring equipment is set up, operated, maintained, and troubleshot to meet product specifications, schedules, and quality standards at our John's Creek Manufacturing Facility, in John's Creek, GA.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Handle manual or operational tasks as per guidelines to ensure smooth and efficient processes

  • Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment

  • Ensure products meet specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards

  • Move, pack, and sort raw materials or finished goods

  • Monitor output quality to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products

  • Maintain accurate daily production records for performance analysis

  • Review work orders, schedule resources, and monitor operations for alignment with business objectives

  • All associates must adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training

  • Associates are responsible for meeting their individual job requirements and contributing to the overall compliance of the organization. Compliance with regulatory requirements and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential to our operations

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • The ability to read, write, understand, and communicate fluently in English

  • Work hours: MTSU - I Shift; 12 Hours; Monday - Friday - 6:30PM AM to 6:30 AM EST, 2 days on, 2 days off, including every other weekend

  • Location: Onsite

  • Travel Requirements: None

  • Relocation assistance: No

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior Manufacturing or Distribution Center Experience
