Position Summary:
The Project Manager (PM) manages one or more research projects. The PM facilitates and coordinates analytical support to research resource analysis and benchmarking initiatives and advises on issues related to process improvement and cost management. Guides project team(s) to complete scope of work meeting project milestones within deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manages a project or phase(s) of a complex research project from initiation/planning through the execution of the research grant or contract concluding with project transition and close, ensuring a successful project.
  • Identify and use appropriate project management tools and concepts (scope management, planning, budget management, risk/ issue management, communications management). Develops and execute work plan. Set priorities for tasks based on importance and urgency. Deliver project on time and within budget.
  • May conduct and/or support complex qualitative and quantitative analysis of project data, summarize findings, draw appropriate conclusions, and effectively communicate results to team. Manage and direct regulatory/ reporting activities related to projects (e.g., IRB, updates/ reports to funding agencies, etc.).
  • Manage communication to and relationships with key project stakeholders (internal and external) and institution-wide. Compose, edit, and deliver written and verbal communications. Facilitate group discussions. Keep team members appropriately informed.
  • May be responsible or assist in the packaging and shipping of samples to other centers following the prescribed procedures

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
  • A Bachelor's degree is required. Master's Degree or higher preferred.
Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience OR a Master's with 3 years of related experience is required.

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
