About the role:
We are looking for a strategic thinker to join our team as a Business Analyst. This client-facing role requires the ability to distill complex data into compelling narratives while contributing to a dynamic technology team dedicated to providing value through data, analytics, and visualizations.
In this position, you will engage in a range of business intelligence projects that will test and enhance your analytical skills, decision-making capabilities, storytelling prowess, and creativity. The diverse responsibilities will offer you opportunities for growth in various areas of analytics, data, and technology.
As a Business Analyst, you will:
- Analyze, interpret, and tell a story from client financial, operational and performance data. Data to be used to provide fact-based recommendations to drive SMM (Strategic Meetings Management) program enhancements, reduce costs, manage staffing levels (i.e., forecasting and workload metrics), streamline process, and increase savings.
- Identify data gaps and errors that require quality control checks; build logic based on account operations and monitor data quality
- Identify issues with the system of record and properly escalate for a quick resolution; ensure that all proper parties are informed of issues
- Benchmark data against industry, regional, and global standards to assist in developing internal and account roadmaps
- Monitor performance of data input to ensure accuracy and data completeness
- Ensure accurate and appropriate reporting is implemented to support SLA (Service Level Agreement) and KPI (Key Performance Indicators) reporting
- Make recommendations for process improvements through data analysis
- Compile and contribute to data requirements for client reviews in account format. Provide insight as applicable.
- Interpret and fulfill account leadership team's on-demand reporting requests by delivering professionally formatted quantitative outputs including exploratory written analysis.
- Drive data governance efforts at the account and enterprise level. Understand the data and how to efficiently transform it into useful reports for the internal team and the client.
- Keep abreast of changes in technology and the meeting industry to look for new ways of delivering value through reporting and analytics
- Constantly transform reporting as client needs change; strive for consistency, accuracy, and cleanliness
- Develop and maintain the report production schedule for assigned account
- Keep job related SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and templates up-to-date and accurate
- Liaise and interact with the client directly
- Work as part of a global team with data analysts, developers, account managers and internal stake holders on a variety of data, analytic, and visualization projects
You need to have:
- A bachelor's degree
- Minimum of three years analytics experience
- Microsoft Office Suite skills (including Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint)
- Extensive knowledge of Power Query, SQL Server, and PowerBI
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries
- An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills to interpret complex data sets
- Attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and integrity
- Effective communication skills to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaboration and teamwork to work seamlessly within cross-functional initiatives
- Curiosity and adaptability to stay ahead of trends and emerging data technologies
You might also have:
- Knowledge of the meetings industry
- Experience with Cvent meeting technology
You should know:
- This role is virtual and operates in the Central or Eastern time zone
- Up to 10% travel may be required

We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Business Analyst is between $70,000 - $80,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience, geographical location, and project budget.
