- Lead project management and execution of multiple active Construction Materials Testing (CMT) and geotechnical projects from start to finish.
- Review and finalize daily field reports, lab data, and project deliverables, ensuring technical accuracy and timeliness.
- Supervise and mentor a team of field technicians, junior engineers, and admin staff.
- Assign training and conduct quality checks on their work.
- Manage client relationships for a large amount of clients/accounts across various sectors; public, private, industrial, residential and more.
- Represent ECS in industry organizations and host client-facing educational sessions.
- Oversee contracts, change orders, invoicing, and collections. Track and manage project budgets and profitability.
- Perform site visits and maintain direct involvement with key projects to ensure quality assurance and issue resolution.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing clear communication, technical insight, and consistent follow-up.
- Collaborate with department leadership on staffing, resource planning, and team integration.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in CMT, geotechnical, or related civil engineering projects.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to local job sites.
- Strong communication skills and proven project management experience.
- Ability to prioritize work under pressure and manage multiple project timelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- PE (Professional Engineer) license highly preferred.
- Additional certifications such as ACI, ICC, NICET Level II or III in Soils, Concrete, and Asphalt.
- Deep understanding of ASTM and AASHTO standards for field and laboratory testing.
- Experience with in-situ testing (e.g., density, moisture), cone penetration testing (CPT), rebar inspection, bolting, welding, and concrete strength validation.
- Prior success in business development or client-facing roles.
The expected pay range for this role and location is $90,000 - $115,000/year. The final agreed-upon compensation will be determined based on specific location and other individual qualifications.
