Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Facilities and Events Coordinator for Student Affairs - Recreation.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Provides day-to-day leadership, administration, and supervision for the Member Services operations at the designated Recreation indoor and outdoor facilities in support and alignment with the Recreation Department Strategic Plan.
- Works with the Assistant Director in staff management, facility operations, events scheduling, risk management, budget planning, policy development, assessment and department support.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least two (2) years of experience in staff training, supervision, and evaluation; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

| Certifications/Licenses |
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid Training Certification or the ability to obtain it within first 90 days of employment.
- Current driver license and access to a vehicle and be able to pass Defensive Driving course within first 90 days of employment.

- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Demonstrated experience working in a college setting.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing daily facility fiscal and risk management.
- Evidence of leadership experience and/or a commitment to student learning and development.
- A comprehensive understanding of university Recreation programs, operations and services.
- Proficiency with Smartsheet, DocuSign and Innosoft Fusion software.

Immunization Requirements
Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
