Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring an Inventory Control Analyst in Salem, Virginia. The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for performing maintenance, analysis and adjustments to inventory files on a daily basis to maintain the most up to date inventory information; ensuring effective use of inventory to meet customer demand while maintaining acceptable inventory management; and other duties in support of the Inventory Control Department. Seeking candidates with previous experience working with vendors in a Parts environment; inventory and ordering system; College degree, preferred. Requirements for the Inventory Control Analyst position include: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be able to function well in a fast-paced and high volume environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Promote a positive customer experience. Physical requirements must be met for the Inventory Control Analyst job, including the ability sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Able to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 10 pounds in weight. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
