Job Title: Receiving Inspector

Job Location: Westminster, MD

Hourly Rate: Up to $24hr depending on experience.

Hours: 1st shift: (9/80 schedule - Off every other Friday)

Job Summary:


  • Come join our team! We currently have an exciting possible Temp-to-Perm opportunity in Westminster, MD for a Receiving Inspector with a minimum of 2+ years of experience using inspection equipment.


Job Description:


  • Performs quality receiving inspection of purchased raw materials and finished parts and assists in quality functions in all departments.
  • Perform duties that include mentoring other QA team members in all facets of Receiving Inspection.
  • Maintains Quality Assurance files on PCs, and manual filing systems.
  • Conducts inspections such as in-process, final and special inspections of deliverable parts and/or assemblies.
  • Operates and/or programs automated inspection equipment, to include Keyence IM System.
  • Works closely with Production Supervision and advises on any material problems or concerns.
  • Communication liaison between team members and Management.
  • Detects and reports improper operating or faulty equipment and any unusual conditions to Supervisors, and/or Managers.
  • Maintains work area and equipment in a clean, safe, and orderly condition - Sustains 5S.
  • Adheres to established safety rules and regulations.
  • Responsible for maintaining and following all standard operating procedures related to Receiving Inspection.
  • Maintains and protects all company assets under their control.
  • Understanding and ability to interpret AS 9100 requirements into daily job functions.
  • Promotes safety awareness throughout the facility.
  • Performs special projects as assigned by Quality Management.
  • Performs in process, product, process, and internal audits.
  • Other Duties as assigned.


Required:


  • Minimum 2 years' experience in mechanical inspection or non-destructive inspection and test.
  • Experienced operator of inspection equipment.
  • Ability to perform dimensional inspection using precision hand tools such as Height Gauges, Calipers, Micrometers, Bore Gauges, Pin Gauges, Thread Plug and Ring Gauges, Go/No-Go Gauges, etc.
  • Accurately document inspection results and maintain traceable records.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances (GD&T knowledge is a plus).
  • Good computer proficiency, especially in Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to learn QMS/ERP systems.
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong Customer skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.


Education:


  • High School Diploma or GED


Note:


  • Must be U.S. Citizen - "Must be able to meet ITAR requirements, including US citizenship to be considered for this role.
