JOB SUMMARY

A Stock Room and Receiving Clerk at Doble Engineering will be an integral part of maintaining Phenix Product line's inventory and preparing products for shipment. This role will be based at Doble's Accident, MD facility and will report to the Stockroom Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS



  • Pulls, weighs, and measures parts orders for shipment and documents on the routing notice
  • Acquires parts according to part number and quantity from stock as noted on Job Pick Lists
  • Receives all inbound shipments per purchase orders
  • Advises Stockroom Manager of any parts issues
  • Handles all defective and damaged materials
  • Pulls parts as needed for production and service personal
  • Issues all materials to jobs through our software
  • Maintains missing parts lists for all Jobs
  • Ensures all materials are signed out of stock to maintain accurate inventory
  • Assists Stockroom Manager as needed
  • Manages a neat and organized workspace
  • Reviews all paperwork for completion and accuracy
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management


DECISION-MAKING LATITUDE



  • Ensures the correct parts and quantities are received per purchase order. Reports issues to the Stockroom Manager. Failure to do so could result in production delays.
  • Makes the decision whether a part can be borrowed from another job if needed to meet production schedule. Validates with the Stockroom Manager before borrowing a part from another job.


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

High School Diploma/GED, or equivalent education and/or experience.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:



  • 2 years of industrial warehouse experience
  • 2 years of inventory control experience utilizing an inventory software
  • Experience using hand trucks and forklifts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and accuracy
  • Personal accountability with a customer-focused sense of urgency
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Positive can-do attitude and good work ethic
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Willing to work flexible hours and weekends as required
  • Good communication skills


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (Not Required):



  • Shipping/Receiving experience
  • Knowledge of industrial and electrical components used in manufacturing


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:



  • Ability to climb ladders as needed
  • Knowledge of electrical components and general manufacturing materials
  • Have excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask, demonstrate flexibility


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers and customers. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job. Must be capable of lifting 30 pounds. Must use assistance when lifting 50 or more pounds.

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job related skills, as well as relevant education or training experience.
Hourly Pay Range Minimum $17.62 - Midpoint $22.02
