STARTING RATE - 17.50/hour+ (.50) cents an hour for shift premium for 2nd shift

Job Statement:As a member of the Operations team, the Team Member will be responsible forperforming all jobs in the work cell to build quality seats in an efficient manner.As a Team Member, you support department and plant goals as established, participate in continuous improvement activities and the high performing work team model.

Essential Job Functions:

People:



  • Ensure that all quality, safety, and productivity standards are maintained
  • Report all accidents and near misses to the appropriate team leader
  • Identify safety improvement opportunities and generate safety resolutions throughout the workplace
  • Ensure that Team Members are reliable, do their best, and are always striving to deliver high-quality products to our customers



Quality:



  • Drive Lear's 5S World Class Housekeeping standards and ensure Team Members are held accountable to each standard
  • Identify scrap, defects, or quality issues as they appear throughout production
  • Operate quickly to resolve quality problems, and consistently review quality alerts and metrics
  • Ability to read Liaison reports to make improvements and corrections
  • Efficiently and effectively complete product repairs across the production station
  • Participate, suggest process improvements, and communicate Standard Work Instruction (SWI) changes and updates



Process:



  • Perform all fast-paced automotive assembly duties and achieve high-quality standards
  • Assure that all safety, quality, production, and work standards are regularly followed
  • Drive, contribute, and fully support continuous improvement suggestions and projects
  • Adhere to the production lines' key performance indicators (KPI's)
  • Inspect equipment, tools, structures, or materials to identify repair needs or other defects
  • Ability to rotate and achieve each task within a Team's cell by learning their responsibilities
  • Maintain or exceed line efficiency targets to ensure customer delivery is achieved



Required Qualifications:



  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving whole body
  • Must be able to work any shift, as well as Saturdays and Sundays
  • Must be available to work overtime as required
  • Once hired, must pass a background check, physical demands test, drug screen, and pre-employment assessment
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and/or move objects up to 50 pounds
  • Physical ability to stand for 3 hours at a time and operate pneumatic tools
  • Physical ability to make fast, simple repetitive movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists
