Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is looking for an experienced Nurse who is interested in transitioning to the ED specialty to participate in our Fellowship program, Start date: March 16th, 2026. Schedule/Hours: Full Time, Night Shift (7p-7a) Inova Fair Oaks Emergency Room is a 34-bed emergency services facility recently renovated and expanded to serve patients, both adult and pediatric, more efficiently. Emergency Room RN Fellow Responsibilities:
- Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team.
- Experienced behavioral health nurses and Overflow unit assist the team in caring for non-emergency patients
- Conduct all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner.
- Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes
- Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience: Requires a minimum of one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.
- Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
- License: Must be RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN.
- BLS from American Heart Association
- CEN/ACLS certification desired
- Proficient in English.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others
- Proficient computer skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred candidates will possess 2 years of critical care experience or at least 1 year of ED experience.
