What to Expect
As the lead development driver, you will spearhead on-track performance by providing expert evaluations to guide both chassis development and controls calibration development of all systems including traction control, stability control, torque vectoring, ABS & EBD, and active aero systems.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with the Vehicle Dynamics Team to develop hardware and firmware controls for road and track conditions
- Deliver detailed evaluations of vehicle behaviors in areas such as tires, aerodynamics, traction control, ABS, stability control, torque vectoring, suspension, and steering
- Document and report feedback during and after testing events to inform development processes
- Contribute to the creation of control strategies for existing and new active systems impacting vehicle performance
- Assist with event preparation and planning to ensure smooth execution of testing activities
- Support the HMI roadmap development for high-performance vehicles by providing driver input
- Provide cross-functional support by serving as a high-performance driver for testing needs in other teams
What You'll Bring
- Proven track record of 5+ years in professional driving with a minimum FIA Gold License or higher
- Minimum 3+ years of experience working with an OEM in automotive controls development
- Nurburgring experience through OEM tuning or endurance racing
- Extensive track experience in the USA and EU
- Direct hands-on experience evaluating systems such as traction control, vehicle dynamics control, ABS, brake steer, rear-wheel steer, all-wheel drive, torque vectoring, electronic limited-slip differential, active front steering, and active aero
- Expertise in subjective vehicle performance evaluation below and above the adhesion limit
- Proficiency in subjective vehicle performance evaluation at very high speeds

Expected Compensation
$80,000 - $204,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
