Position Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for management reporting, financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting, benchmarking and peer analysis, and other value-added financial analysis to assist the organization in making financial and strategic decisions. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Prepare management reporting, including weekly, monthly and quarterly recuring reporting such as monthly financial dashboards, weekly Executive dashboard, quarterly board materials, and reporting for quarterly strategic market reviews
  • Prepare variance analysis of actual results to budget/forecasts
  • Produce PowerBI dashboards in support of the needs of the business as they arise.
  • Build financial models or prepare analysis in software tools, such as Excel and Axiom, demonstrating a solid understanding of the business to provide insight into areas such as market or product profitability, determining staffing needs, creating new market launch projections, incentive plan measurement, etc.
  • Prepare annual budget and recurring forecasts utilizing planning tools (Axiom and Empyrean) working in collaboration with market and support leaders.
  • Act as a business partner to all areas of the Bank - market facing teams, support groups, and executives - to provide value added financial reporting and analysis on which to base decisions and run the business.
  • Maintain strong financial controls and drive continual process improvements
  • Special projects as assigned
Education & Experience

Knowledge of:

  • Financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Banking industry accounting and financial concepts
  • GAAP and financial principles
  • Excel spreadsheet proficiency
  • Understanding of the internal control and risk environment

Ability to:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Extremely strong analytical, problem-solving skills and business acumen
  • Analytical ability to interpret data and present it in a meaningful and easily understood form while providing recommendations
  • Act as a trusted partner to bank leadership

Education and Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or equivalent work experience; MBA preferred
  • 5+ years in finance or accounting roles (Level: Senior)
  • Requires proficient usage of Microsoft Office products; PowerBI experience preferred; Axiom financial software knowledge preferred

Benefits and Compensation

Salary offered is based on factors, including but not limited to, the job duties, required qualifications and relevant experience, and local market trends. The role may be eligible for bonus or incentives based on company and individual performance.

(Base Pay Range: $80,000 - $110,000/year)
