DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Clerical Assistant 2 in this position will handle all phone and in-person requests to make billeting reservations. Coordinates and reviews the assignment of troop buildings, furnishings, and equipment in the cantonment area. Ensures all policies and guidelines are being adhered to regarding rank, training requirement, facility utilization, Travel Authorizations, while meeting customer's needs. Verifies and receives proper payment while ensuring all charges are correct and accounted for. Utilize web-based scheduling software to capture and verify all required information and data to ensure customer's reservation is accurate. Resolves all issues with customers that arise over the assignment of space.

Additional duties include coordinating the billeting program for VIP housing and bachelor and transient-type quarters. Responsible for receiving and validating for accuracy all Exception to Policy memorandums for individuals along with coordinating with TAG's office for all welcome letters for VIP's. Coordinates with the Eastern PAARNG Aviation Training Site regarding the Lithuanian student exchange program for required memorandums and housing of all visiting guests. Verifies all requests for Certificates of Non-Availability (CNA's), gathers orders, and prepares CNA's for signing. Maintains the Transitional Rate spreadsheet ensuring it is always up to date with all approved transitional members, while following up with guests regarding monthly payments.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Work hours are 8:15 am to 4:30pm, Thursday thru Monday (off Tuesday and Wednesday) with a 45-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements (NSRs):
  • Candidate must possess a valid federal or state-issued photo ID and pass a favorable NCIC screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
  • Candidate must pass background check clear of felonies for access to Federal Computer Networks.

Additional Requirements:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
