Job Description

We are currently hiring aPackaging Operator in Breinigsville, PA

The Packaging Operator runs packaging machinery to meet brewery needs and goals. This position trains throughout the Packaging Department to become skilled in operating all equipment within their designated work area. The ideal candidate has 1+ years of packaging/production experience and is a solid team player with a "get it done, can do" attitude.

What You'll Brew:



  • Safely and efficiently operate packaging machinery. Machinery types include, but are not limited to: Filler, Labeler, Box Maker, Packer
  • Utilize lean manufacturing methodologies in daily standard work to drive improvements in safety, quality, and overall line performance.
  • Follow manufacturing best practices, such as equipment center lining, visualization, and 6S.
  • Perform quality checks, testing, inspections, minor lubrication, and paperwork as required.
  • Fulfil sanitation duties. Requires the use of foaming equipment, hoses, brooms, shovels, brushes, scrapers, squeegees, and sanitation chemicals.
  • Develop and maintain a functional understanding of computer systems. Operate computers, automated equipment, fulfil administrative obligations, and input data as required.
  • Work in a team-oriented environment with a "Safety-First" approach. Assist other operators and departments in training, repair work and equipment operation as needed.
  • Operate forklifts as required.
  • Tolerate summer/winter temperature conditions and hot and cold room environments
  • Work and clean in confirmed space areas, such as the pasteurizer, after required permitting procedures are completed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent



  • 1+ years' experience in packaging, production, and/or similar manufacturing environment
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Proficient with computers and automated equipment. Must be able to learn and accurately utilize company systems
  • Must be available to support shift, weekend, and holiday schedules as required
  • Work overtime as needed, which may require 12-hour days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms


Working Conditions



  • Operating environment is complex and densely populated with production equipment and forklifts that necessitates high situational awareness
  • Subject to loud and constant noise
  • Non-environmentally conditioned spaces which may lead to extreme hot and cold


Physical Requirements



  • All production roles are required to pass a pre-employment physical exam to comply with their specific role requirement(s). Certain roles may require the use of a respirator and passing the associated fit test
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, sometimes repeatedly
  • Regular walking and standing for long periods of time (up to 11 hours a day) on concrete, metal and grated surfaces
  • Responsibilities may require crouching, stepping over, crawling under, bending, twisting, climbing and reaching above head and shoulders repeatedly throughout the day
  • Responsibilities may require climbing flights of stairs, working from heights, on elevated platforms, or in confined spaces
  • Ability to wear assigned PPE (safety shoes, gloves, facemask, hearing protection and hard hat)
  • Established dexterity so you can handle materials, operate equipment and interface with computer systems with precision
  • Some roles (e.g., forklift operator) may be required to sit for a prolonged period of time and have strong peripheral vision and depth perception


Level: 9

In accordance with pay transparency laws the pay rate for this role if hired is $22.40 per hour. However, it's important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location.
