Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Specialist Government in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will interact with the public, offer exceptional customer service, and respond to various situations as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and verify identification of individuals entering restricted areas, adhering to established protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and support a sense of order within the location.
  • Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal and client site protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary, providing support and information as requested.
  • Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times, promptly reporting any security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearm in accordance with Allied Universal and client-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
