We are seeking an experienced Senior Strategist to lead the development of content-led campaigns and marketing initiatives that elevate PIMCO's brand and client engagement worldwide. Operating within the Content Marketing Department, the ideal candidate can align teams cross-functionally on core objectives, seamlessly span strategy and execution to distill complex investment ideas into compelling, resonant messages across audiences, and apply these messages in a range of marketing touchpoints.

This role is responsible for utilizing an insights-led approach to scale globally-consistent messages throughout the client life cycle and oversee content distribution strategies. He/She will oversee the end-to-end campaign process igniting the marketing machine and collaborating across teams to deliver high-impact, client-centric content programs that expand share of voice and accelerate growth.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Messaging

  • Work across marketing, product and sales to identify and align business priorities and clients' needs to derive scalable investment themes that can inform campaign activity and drive commercial impact.

  • Establish strategic marketing objectives utilizing client insights, data and analytics to identify who our audience is, what we want them to think or do, and how we can best reach to maximize client engagement.

  • Develop clear, differentiated value propositions for key platforms, asset classes, and solutions - answering "why us" for each audience(e.g., make PIMCO standout with a differentiated message around alternatives for US financial advisors).

  • Build flexible, modular messaging architectures and content plans that can be deployed across various marketing levers and communications channels (thought leadership, digital, earned media, client engagement).

  • Collaborate with product, sales, and investment teams to ensure each offering's value proposition reflects true competitive advantage and client relevance.

Integration & Execution

  • Deliver globally consistent messages throughout the client life cycle, driving integrated, content-led campaigns that address client needs and align to growth priorities.

  • Drive investment theme development, set objectives, and manage end-to-end campaign processes from messaging to scaled distribution.

  • Work across marketing, brand, product and client business partners to ensure consistent application of narratives and value propositions throughout the client journey.

  • Oversee the creation of content, messaging guides, and sales enablement materials that bring the firm's propositions to life and drive commercial outcomes.

  • Maintain a feedback loop informed by business results, market insights, and client behaviors to refine and evolve messaging and content distribution over time and maximize campaign effectiveness.

  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to align campaigns with business growth priorities and client needs.

  • Utilize marketing technology tools to enhance process efficiency and content quality.

Leadership & Influence

  • Serve as a strategic partner to product, sales and investment leaders in defining how the firm communicates commercial narratives to clients.

  • Provide guidance on storytelling, platform and category-level postioning, and communication best practices within financial services.

  • Mentor team members and marketing colleagues and peers on narrative thinking and effective messaging development.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in investment marketing roles with a proven track record of advancing responsibilities

  • Proven experience in content strategy, campaign management, and thought leadership.

  • Deep understanding of financial markets, investment content, and alternative investments.

  • Proven leadership experience both directly and indirectly managing teams within global organizations to drive results.

  • Exceptional storytelling, writing and messaging expertise.

  • Strong project management, analytical skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to influence stakeholders and cross-functional teams at all levels.

  • Strategic thinker with strong tactical execution skills.

  • Familiarity with compliance requirements for investment marketing materials.

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.
Salary Range: $ 250,000.00 - $ 305,000.00
