We are seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our team. You will be developing and verifying complex digital designs for use in spaceborne products across our commercial and defense programs. Must be a self-starter & team player who can take ownership of a project from design to deployment under a rapid pace. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the design, implementation, and verification of embedded software and related digital designs in system-on-chip (SOC) devices as part of Lucix products Interface with senior engineers to implement communication protocols, data handling, and system management in an embedded ARM CORTEX processor environment Perform trade studies to identify functions that can be purchased as third-party intellectual property (IP) versus internal development Assist in creating embedded architecture, performing trade studies to determine which functions should be executed within the embedded processor, which should be implemented in programmable logic fabric, and how to interface between the two domains Maintain code base in the company's version control system Develop software and hardware test fixtures to verify the functionality of the embedded code and the overall system Perform bench-level verification of the implemented code in the final system, and assist with test of the overall product Benefits: We offer a comprehensive benefits package to full time employees which includes: Healthcare (Medical, Dental, Vision) Paid Time Off and Holidays HSA and FSA Traditional 401(k) with company match Company Sponsored Basic Life Insurance, AD&D and LTD Voluntary Coverages (Critical Illness, Accident, Hospital Indemnity, Supplemental Life Insurance Tuition Assistance Program Employee Assistance Program We have a 9/80 workweek that provides employees with every other Friday off Equal Opportunity Employer: Lucix Corporation is an equal opportunity employer. Requirements Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science Expertise with embedded software design for ARM CORTEX or similar systems Expertise in Python and C language Experience with embedded Linux development Strong knowledge of implementing UDP/IP networking over Ethernet interface Experience with the AMD/Xilinx family of devices and tools, including Vivado and Vitis software. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Windows OS, Microsoft Excel Strong written and verbal English communication skills Strong analytical and excellent problem-solving skills Desired: 5+ years of relevant industry experience Experience designing high-sample-rate communication and/or signal processing systems in embedded devices Experience with revision control tools such as Git, Mercurial Knowledge of digital design using the VHDL language Knowledge of sampling theory, digital signal processing, and spectral analysis Proficiency with MATLAB software Job Details Pay Range Pay Range The estimated pay range for this job.
