CAE Engineer - Conjugate Heat Transfer (CHT)

Location: Raymond, OH

Pay Rate: $44.54-$51.71 per hour

We are seeking a highly skilled CAE Engineer to support advanced thermal and fluid analysis for complex engineering systems. This role focuses on Conjugate Heat Transfer (CHT) modeling, thermal management, and design validation using industry-standard CFD tools. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with full-system simulations, automation, and cross-functional collaboration to improve product performance and reliability.

In this position, you will develop, execute, and optimize CFD models using STAR-CCM+, with working knowledge of ANSYS Fluent and OpenFOAM. Responsibilities include geometry cleanup and meshing with ANSA, model calibration and validation against test data, and conducting parametric, sensitivity, and design optimization studies. You will also create automation and scripting solutions (Python, Bash, Java, or macros) to accelerate simulation setup, execution, and post-processing, while clearly documenting methodologies and results.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related Engineering field
• 3+ years of hands-on CFD experience with emphasis on CHT and thermal-fluid coupling
• Proficiency in STAR-CCM+; familiarity with Fluent and OpenFOAM preferred
• Strong experience with ANSA for geometry preparation and meshing
• Knowledge of heat transfer modeling (conduction, convection, radiation)
• Experience with CFD workflow automation and scripting

Preferred Skills:

• Automotive or complex system heat transfer applications
• DOE, parametric studies, and optimization frameworks
• HPC environments, parallel computing, and GPU acceleration
• Data visualization tools such as ParaView, Tecplot, or Ensight
