Basic Qualifications
The Engineering Manufacturing position requires an associates degree in a related specialized area or the equivalent, with a minimum of zero to two years of related experience. Clearance Requirements: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Responsibilities for this Position General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS), a market leader and technology innovator, is seeking talented professionals to deliver cutting edge solutions to our customers. General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for an Engineer to join our Manufacturing team. The position provides an opportunity to develop and advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to design and produce the state-of-the-art products that support General Dynamics Mission Systems and our clients. Job responsiblities include, but not limited to, soldering of components on printed wiring boards, cable assembly, chassis and unit assembly. Interaction with manufacturing engineers to solve assembly and manufacturing issues. The ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and wire lists. Hand and basic power tool proficiency is is a must. Travel may be required that involves removal and installation of equipment at integration facilities and/or on-board submarines at Naval shipyards.
