Job Title: Machinist Duration: Direct Hire Shift: 2^nd Shift 4pm to 11pm Location: Devens, MA 01434 Shift: 1^st 7am to 3:30 pm/ 2^nd Shift 4pm to 11pm Salary Range: $46,488 /annually to $71,968 /annually with full benefits Notes: Experience working with tight tolerances (within .003 inches or tighter) is required. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation. Hands-on experience using inspection and measurement equipment is essential. Job Description: Set up and operate two or more production machines while working from blueprints, sketches, and route sheets. Perform machining operations including cutting, drilling, reaming, tapping, chamfering, and deburring to close tolerances. Inspect parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring and inspection equipment (gages, comparators, micrometers, calipers). Adjust feeds, speeds, and depth of cut to ensure quality parts per documented requirements. Identify machine or process issues and report improper functioning or cutting action for correction. Support lean manufacturing initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and cost reduction. Required Education: High School Diploma/GED.
