Sunny View Retirement Community Pay Range: $32.00-$35.00 Full-Time, Benefited! Summary: Coordinates processes related to admission of patients and/or residents into Front Porch care facilities or residential facilities and hospitals. Detailed responsibilities: * Admissions Coordinator - Provides quality Customer Service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfaction - Confers with physicians (when applicable), nursing, housekeeping, environmental services and other staff members to coordinate and schedule admission of patients or residents - Assigns accommodations based on clients preference, needs, availability of space, physician's admittance orders (when applicable), and other information - Ensures that the accommodation is clean, refurbished and presentable according to prior agreements, governmental guidelines, company standards and patient / guest expectations - Interviews patient/ resident or patient / resident's representative to obtain necessary personal and financial data to determine eligibility for admission - Prepares records of admission and discharges, compiles occupancy and other required data - Contacts insurance company to verify patient / resident coverage and obtain information concerning extent of benefits and answers questions regarding statements and insurance coverage - Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, expedites workflow, issues written and oral instructions and studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates - Attends and participates in department head meetings, patient/resident evaluation meetings, and other meetings as assigned - Follows department safety standards, practice body mechanic techniques and participate in campus-wide safety programs - Performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner Wears PPE/safety equipment as required for the job Reports any safety hazards and/or accidents to supervisor - Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws which may include directly or indirectly supervision of admission assistants, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems - Front Porch is committed to the prevention of accidents by providing equipment with safeguards, personal safety equipment on jobs which require it, and adequate safety instructions to all employees - All employees are required to follow safe work habits in order to prevent injuries to themselves, residents, visitors or other employees Competencies and skills: Essential: * Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations Credentials: Education with Equivalent Qualifications: Essential: * Bachelor's Degree Experience with Equivalent Qualifications: Compensation Disclaimer: The actual compensation offered will depend on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, experience, training, education, and licensure/certifications (as applicable).
