Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Security Systems Programmer to join our team. The Physical Security Systems Programmer is responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting and maintenance of enterprise access control and video management systems, while supporting field-level device and installation.

Work Location: Washington, DC

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Clearance: Must have an active Top Secret clearance



Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Administer and support enterprise access control and video management systems, including CCure 9000 and Genetec Security Center, to ensure system availability and operational effectiveness.

    Configure and maintain access control components such as personnel records, credentials, access levels, schedules, door configurations, and alarm/event definitions.
  • Support video surveillance operations through camera onboarding, configuration, user permissions, recording profiles, and video review/export for official requests.
  • Monitor security systems and review events, alarms, and logs to support incident response, troubleshooting, and service restoration.
  • Diagnose and resolve system issues including access denials, device communication failures, and configuration conflicts across access control, video, network, and field devices.
  • Coordinate with security operations centers, IT/network teams, field technicians, and vendors to troubleshoot issues and restore services.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of system configurations, changes, and maintenance activities.
  • Following approved security procedures and configuration standards.
  • Handling sensitive security data in accordance with policy.
  • Physical fitness and manual dexterity to handle tools and climb ladders when necessary.


Qualifications

  • US Citizen and active Top-Secret clearance.
  • A bachelor's degree or 4 years equivalent experience as a security technician.
  • Technical knowledge of various security systems and devices, including alarms, cameras, and access control systems, public address systems, and other security technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on administration and programming experience with Genetec and CCure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work a regular schedule at the Washington DC locations.
  • A team player with a customer-oriented approach.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate installation and maintenance of security equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Proficiency in system testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues promptly and accurately.
