Responsibilities:
Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking an experienced Benefits Consultant to support the financial, analytical, and operational administration of our employee benefit programs. This role is responsible for the financial analysis, research, design, and interpretation of Health & Welfare plans, Qualified Retirement Plans (Pension, 403(b), 401(a), 401(k)), and NonQualified Retirement Plans (457(b), 457(f), NQDA).
Benefit Plan Administration
Support the ongoing administration and delivery of employee benefits for active employees, retirees, and beneficiaries. Ensure accurate benefit determinations and adherence to internal controls. Maintain plan documents, summary plan descriptions, and amendments to ensure alignment with regulatory and corporate requirements.
Communications
Develop and coordinate benefits communications, including plan provisions, annual changes, and compliance notices. Partner with internal teams to distribute accurate and timely information to employees and leadership.
Policies, Procedures & Compliance
Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS, DOL, and other regulatory requirements. Manage plan compliance activities, filings, and documentation to preserve the qualified status of retirement plans. Provide data and documentation for annual audits and Form 5500 preparation.
Financial & Accounting Responsibilities
Perform financial analysis and reconciliation to ensure the integrity of benefitsrelated financial records. Ensure plan assets are accounted for accurately and transmitted timely. Prepare internal financial statements and reporting for plan trustees, auditors, and leadership.
Data Systems & Technical Support
Manage benefitrelated data systems, warehousing, and reporting. Perform controltable builds and modifications within internal systems (e.g., PresSource). Develop specifications for system enhancements, new functionality, reporting needs, and interfaces with other benefit systems. Support Workday benefit modules with testing, auditing, and data validation.
Project Management
Lead and manage benefitrelated projects including planning, timelines, risk management, and budgeting. Ensure successful project delivery on time and within scope.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Accounting/Human Resources. Five or more years of experience in benefits, and or accounting/audit or and/or pension plan compliance. Proficiency in HRIS, Access database, Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint preferred.
