What We Need:
We are looking for a Senior Instructional Designer to join our HNI Workplace Furnishings team.
The Senior Instructional Designer is responsible for leading the creation of diverse transformative learning content and curriculum design with proficiency in the eLearning software. This position will conduct needs analysis, develop eLearning and video content, and create tailored learning solutions. The Senior Instructional Designer will ensure project timelines are achieved, enhancement of tool and content quality, and ensure a superior learning experience for both internal and external stakeholders.
What You Will Do:
  • Lead strategic projects for the instruction design team through collaboration with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Maintain and improve the user experience and functionality of the LMS for internal and external customers.
  • Oversee the upkeep of existing self-paced content and make new content available through appropriate platforms.
  • Apply research-based learning theory and proven instructional design principles to create engaging course designs (live, live on-line, eLearning).
  • Perform in-depth needs analysis to uncover learner, organizational, and on-boarding needs, identify performance gaps and changes in work processes, procedures, and technologies.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with varying levels of organization from SMEs to the executives to determine the best learning solution per situation.
  • Provide the application of multimedia design and development including graphic design, audio/visual, and eLearning software.
  • Maintain and upload content to LMS.
  • Ensure branded and accurate content of learning materials.
  • Participate in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization.
What You Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, multi-media design, design or related field required.
  • At least three years of experience in a learning environment or related field required; preferred five years of experience preferred.
  • CPLP Certification preferred.
