Department Overview

The Projects and Financial Management team of the Government Funding Office is responsible for collaborating with subject matter experts across PG&E functions to develop and manage the execution plans for government funded awards, including loans, grants, and contracts. As part of this team, you will collaborate with professionals from finance, major projects, sourcing, environmental, legal, and policy to manage government funded awards that enable California's prosperity and reduce customer rates. Our team is made up of talented and passionate individuals, including program managers, strategic analysts, compliance reporting specialists, and subject matter experts. Our team's work shall create prosperity for all customers and investors.

Position Summary

Provides strategic planning and analyses, and policy development. Develop strategies to support the Government Funding program, including the development of financial and project tracking dashboards, from multiple data sources, to provide critical input and data to comply with government regulations and company standards. This position requires the ability to analyze complex requirements, understand workstream and government-sponsor needs, business impacts, and company vision. Work with regulators, utility industry peers and/or internal departments to influence the company around current and future priorities, funding constraints and future business needs. Influence company and regulatory priorities considering inputs from stakeholder research, business impacts, and PG&E strategies and priorities.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business needs or company requirements. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory and will be agreed upon by the successful candidate and hiring leader.

PG&E is providing the full salary/pay range for this position. The actual amount paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The range to reasonably expect will be around the minimum and the midpoint <$Min - $Mid of the range>. The final decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to the factors above. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.

Bay Area Min: $102,000

Bay Area Mid: $127,000

Bay Area Max: $152,000

Job Responsibilities

* Clearly articulates recommendations and findings in both written and oral communications both internally and externally and to functional management.

* Develops analytic tools including complex econometric modeling, forecasting, data analysis and evaluation to meet customer needs and company business objectives and in support of regulatory directives and strategies.

* Examines alternate solutions to a problem, effectively troubleshoots various issues and analysis, and provides findings and recommendations for internal clients and external stakeholders.

* Prepares analytic support for government reporting requirements.

* Support preparation of testimony on complex analyses and policy issues.

* Collaborates with other utilities and industry groups in the development of new and innovative data models, research, etc. to support strategy and planning at PG&E.

Qualifications

Minimum

* Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Policy, Business, Finance, Sociology, Engineering, Physics or other related fields or equivalent work experience

* 4 years of job-related experience

* Master's degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Public Policy, Sociology, Engineering, Physics or other related fields or equivalent work experience

* 6 years of job-related experience
