Job Title: Quality Engineer II (Aerospace/Manufacturing)

Duration: Direct hire with benefits

Shift: 1st Shift

Location: Oro Valley AZ 85755 -ONSITE

Salary: $90K/Yr. on w2 with full benefits + BONUS (Based on experience)

NOTE:

  • Do you have working exp in Mfg industry OR Aerospace experience a plus, electronics preferred
  • Do you have a Bachelor Degree?
  • Do you have working knowledge of SPC, DOE, Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, and Six Sigma?
  • Do you experience with and demonstrated understanding of AS9100 / ISO9001 requirements?
  • Do you have familiarity with J-STD and IPC standards (preferred)?
  • Do you have experience with FAA regulatory requirements (14 CFR parts 21, 43, 65,120, & 145)



Description:

  • The Quality Engineer works within the quality team to ensure the overall quality of a manufactured product and is tasked with creating documentation, devising quality tests and defining the criteria a test result should meet.


Essential Functions:

  • AS9100 involvement and internal & external auditing.
  • Corrective action coordination and in-depth root cause analysis.
  • Customer and supplier interaction (e.g. program management reviews, supplier audits, customer audits).
  • Lean Enterprise and Lean Manufacturing tools.
  • First Article Inspection IAW AS9102.
  • Reliability (MTBF, MTBUR) calculations.
  • Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) analysis and reporting.


Certifications:

  • ASQ CQA, CQE beneficial.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree (required) in Engineering or a Quality-related technical discipline (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years electrical and/or mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing setting with a minimum 5 years' experience in a Quality-related position preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SPC, DOE, Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, and Six Sigma.
  • Experience with and demonstrated understanding of AS9100 / ISO9001 requirements.
  • Previous experience with printed circuit board electronics (preferred).
  • Familiarity with J-STD and IPC standards (preferred).
  • Experience with FAA regulatory requirements (14 CFR parts 21, 43, 65,120, & 145).
  • * Proficient using Microsoft Office products, databases, and MRP system.
